The She Is Not Your Rehab Art Gallery will open with a brand new, thought provoking, public exhibition of a body of work entitled “Who Is She?’ to be exhibited for one year in Ōtautahi, Christchurch.
Launching on WHITE RIBBON DAY – 25 November 2022, a day internationally to challenge violence against women and girls. The collection comprises of 101 paintings, each with whakapapa from a word submitted in response to a question posed to men globally;
“If she is not your rehab then who is she?”
Thousands of words and stories submitted online and via prisons all over the world, informed the kōrero that has created the evolution of the She Is Not Your Rehab message, kaupapa and now this collection of artwork.
This exhibition was created in collaboration with renowned Tauranga Moana based graffiti artist; Mr G (Graham Hoete) and with generous support from Le Va, JR McKenzie Trust and The Du Val Foundation.
